Founder and Principal Attorney
Rosemarin Belliard is the Founder and Principal Attorney of Belliard Law Firm, PLLC. Over the course of her career, she has represented businesses of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies, across a variety of industries including banking, media and arts, fashion, information technology and higher education nonprofit institutions.
Leveraging her expertise in employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, she has provided corporate clients with tailored consultations on complex global immigration matters. She collaborates closely with human resources business partners to devise innovative strategies that mitigate risks and facilitate informed planning and decision-making. Additionally, she regularly advises clients on developing customized immigration compliance programs and addressing worksite compliance issues, helping organizations meet regulatory requirements while effectively managing their immigration processes.
Additionally, Rosemarin has extensive experience advising individuals and families on a wide range of immigration matters, including green cards, work authorization, travel permissions, and naturalization. She has attended numerous Permanent Resident interviews at USCIS offices nationwide, where she advocates for her clients and offers support throughout the process. Prior to founding Belliard Law Firm, PLLC., Rosemarin was a Senior Associate in the Immigration Practice Group of a prominent Manhattan law firm . Prior to that, she was Associate Attorney at an AmLaw 100 Manhattan law firm, practicing exclusively in U.S. immigration and nationality law.
Rosemarin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Juris Doctor from New York Law School. During her time in law school, Rosemarin was awarded the Government Fellowship and Chief Justice Rose R. Bird Award for Motivation in Pursuing Public Interest Law. As a law student, she served as an intern for Chief Judge Dora L. Irizarry of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Prior to law school, Rosemarin was selected as the New York City Urban Fellow for the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, where she assisted the office in its mission to facilitate the successful integration of immigrant New Yorkers into the civic, cultural and economic fabric of the city.
As the daughter of immigrants from the Dominican Republic, Rosemarin has personally witnessed the many challenges immigrants encounter while navigating the legal system. She understands deeply how transformative compassionate legal advice can be during life’s most difficult moments. This profound connection to the immigrant experience fuels her unwavering dedication to advancing and protecting the rights of immigrants in the U.S. Her heartfelt commitment is further exemplified by her extensive pro bono work with community-based organizations throughout New York City, where she strives to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.
